About our Lab

The Infant Perception Laboratory is located on the 3rd floor of  Williams Hall, on the beautiful campus of Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia.  We conduct studies on infants' attention to a variety of events that they experience in their daily lives, especially those involving language.  For example, we are interested in understanding how infants learn different aspects of their language (phonemes, words, accents), how parents' speech helps them learn, and how their attention to both faces and voices change across their first year of life.  To learn more about our specific projects, click here.  We involve both graduate and undergraduate students in all aspects of our research, and welcome your inquiries into joining our lab group.  Please fill out this application, and send it to panneton@vt.edu if you are interested in finding out more about our research opportunities.
