Dr. Susan White and Colleagues Receive Grant to Test ASD Intervention


Dr. Susan White and colleagues have received an new grant from the Edith L. Trees Charitable Trust:
 
Moving Forward to an Emotion-Focused Intervention for Teens with Autism Spectrum Disorder:  Adolescent Social-emotional Skills Enhancement Training (ASSET)
Edith L. Trees Charitable Trust, $120,000
 
This is a one-year grant in which Dr. White and Caitlin Conner, doctoral student in Clinical Science, will be collaborating with Drs. Nancy Minshew and Carla Mazefsky at the University of Pittsburg to develop a novel intervention targeting emotion regulation impairment in adolescents with ASD. They are developing and piloting the program at both sites, in preparation for a multi-site trial.
