Kristin graduated from Furman University. As an undergraduate, she was awarded a neuroscience fellow award at the Medical University of South Carolina where she studied psychopharmacology and alcohol withdrawal. Kristin went on to study the neuropsychology of childhood obsessions and compulsions in a graduate program at Bucknell University. She was then afforded the opportunity to work with some of the leading experts in anxiety at the Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders at Boston University. Kristin also has diverse experiences, including volunteering on an adolescent Somali refugee research project, working on programs for survivors of torture and the victims of Bloody Sunday in Northern Ireland, studying in China, and working with victims of domestic violence.
