Nuri Reyes is a graduate student in the Clinical Psychology Ph. D. Program at Virginia Tech. She graduated from UCLA, earning a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Applied Developmental Psychology. During her undergraduate career, she worked in several research projects in the field of psychology (e.g., studies on Schizophrenia and HIV). She also worked with Dr. Steve Lopez who conducts research on culture and mental health. After obtaining her B.A., Nuri worked with Dr. Marian Sigman who investigates early language and social development in infant siblings of children with Autism, and cognitive development and parent-child communication in children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. She also has experience working as a counselor with a diverse population, including typically developing children, seriously emotional disturbed children and mentally ill adults.
Nuri misses her family and California beach sunsets, but she is enjoying the spectacular mountain views and no traffic in Blacksburg!
