My major interests are in the initiation and maintenance of health behaviors, particularly nutrition, physical activity, and exercise. Primary prevention strategies have included computer and Internet based approaches, as well as those in diverse community settings. A new major focus involves strategies for initiating and maintaining resistance training, given the many health and disease prevention benefits of resistance training. All of our recent projects at the Center for Research in Health Behavior have been funded by the National Institutes of Health.
