I am a clinical scientist interested in developmental psychopathology in general with a research emphasis on the etiology, treatment and prevention of externalizing behavior and conduct problems in youth. I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Florida State University in 2005 and completed my predoctoral internship at the Federal Correctional Complex in Butner, NC. My research has addressed dispositional, cognitive and contextual factors in the development and maintenance of social and behavioral problems in children and adolescents. More recently, I have collaborated on studies of the efficacy and effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral interventions for child psychopathology. I am also a licensed clinical psychologist, certified juvenile and adult forensic evaluator, and certified sex offender treatment provider, with clinical experience in juvenile and adult forensic, correctional, psychiatric and community settings.
