The research interests of psychology faculty span all three areas of the department: clinical, industrial/organizational, and developmental and biological. Indeed, many areas of research are interdisplinary not only within the department but across disciplines, like the Developmental Science Initiative.

The psychology department sponsors several independent centers, three of which have a research focus:
