  • I study depression, anxiety, and trauma in the context of maladaptive decision making. My research examines how such disorders are related to problems learning from and choosing actions based on positive and negative information in the environment. I use computational models of behavior (primarily reinforcement learning) and neuroimaging (primarily fMRI) to understand the underpinnings of these issues. I have a particular interest in applying this knowledge to the development and refinement of treatment approaches.
